German Vice-Chancellor Visits Tourist Attractions in Isfahan

A high-ranking German delegation headed by German Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel visited monuments of the historic city of Isfahan in central Iran on Tuesday.

Gabriel and his accompanying delegation arrived in Isfahan early on Tuesday. The 60-member delegation  comprises the representatives of different German industrial companies, including Linde, Siemens, Mercedes-Daimler, Volkswagen, GIZ and tens of other German firms.

Isfahan governor-general said the aim of the one-day visit of the German delegation to the province is getting familiar with the capacities of Isfahan and exploring ways for mutual cooperation and investment.

The German delegation is scheduled to hold a meeting with Isfahan governor general to explore grounds for cooperation.

The German vice-chancellor  and his deputies met with Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani as well as the country’s ministers of foreign affairs, energy, oil, trade, and economy on Monday.

The delegation, as the first foreign delegation visiting Iran after the nuclear deal, arrived in the Iranian capital on Sunday upon an invitation by Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh.
