Iran Ranked 4th at the International Chemistry Olympiad

With one gold and three silver medals;
Iran Ranked 4th at the International Chemistry Olympiad

Iran’s chemistry Olympiad team won one gold and three silver medals at the 46th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Iran’s gold medalist was Hirbod Heidari, while the silver medalists were Iman Foroughmand, Mohammad Parsa Jabbari and Mohammad Mobin Hosseini.

The contest was held July 20-29 and was attended by 291 competitors from 75 countries.

Iran’s chemistry team finished the International Chemistry Olympiad in fourth place.

In all, the Olympiad organizers awarded 28 gold, 63 silver, and 92 bronze medals.

Singapore came out on top during the 46th International Chemistry Olympiad.

Planning for the 47th International Chemistry Olympiad is under way. The competition will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, in July 2015.
