Iran’s first coastal tourism village to be built along the Persian Gulf

The first coastal tourism village of Iran will be built along the coast of the Persian Gulf, Iran Daily reported.

A trilateral agreement on the construction of Delaram Tourism Village has been signed by Head of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Masoud Soltanifar, Governor General of Bushehr Province Mostafa Salari and Head of Iran’s Land Affairs Organization Qobad Afshar.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Soltanifar said a complex comprising recreational, sport and accommodation centers, amusement park and several villas, would be constructed in an area of 1,500 hectares in Bushehr in Southern Iran.

He added that the project can be divided into several independent schemes and ceded to the private sector.

The official however contended that it would be much better to hand over the construction of the village to the private sector within the framework of a single project since it can be turned into special tourism region once preliminaries steps have been undertaken.

Based on the agreement, the project to create groundwork for constructing the village will be launched by mid-March 2016.

The project will take into consideration the climatic conditions, environment, population and water supply system of the region. Studies will also be conducted on the lands which are suitable for building sections of Delaram Tourism Village.
